New businesses open in Downtown Atlanta
It is no surprise that Downtown Atlanta is filled with beloved classics, whether it is that place to grab lunch, the bar with stunning views, or the Atlanta coffee shop that you stop at every morning on your way into the office. In addition, we want to highlight some new faces in the neighborhood. There's no need to take this list as an exhaustive one. If you have any comments or additions, please send them to marketing@atlantadowntown.com.
DOS BOCAS
A new restaurant in Downtown's Centennial Park District replaces Legal Sea Foods in the Hilton Garden Inn. Using a unique fusion of Cajun and Tex-Mex flavors, the restaurant combines the best of both worlds. Check out the menu here.
BIG DAVE'S CHEESESTEAKS
Big Dave's began in a Dunwoody gas station but now has two brick and mortar locations in Doraville and the Healey Building (corner of Forsyth and Poplar streets) in Downtown Atlanta. We serve classic cheesesteaks, Philly fries, egg rolls, and wings. Check out the menu here.
THE PANTRY & PROVISIONS
The Pantry offers grab and go gourmet sandwiches as well as a bodega-style market offering chef-curated ingredients. If you enter the building off Walton Street, The Pantry will be located behind Cafe Lucia. Check out the menu here.
OLE RELIABLE
Kevin Gillespie, chef-owner of Red Beard Restaurants and owner of Ole Reliable, opened a pop-up Atlanta restaurant on the ground floor of Georgia-Pacific Center. For coffee, soups, salads, toast and open-faced sandwiches, this is the perfect place to go. Drool over menu items here.
ATLANTA HYATT PLACE/CENTENNIAL PARK
Located right on Luckie Street, Hyatt Place is Downtown's newest hotel. The hotel features an outdoor pool, fitness center, is pet-friendly, and is surrounded by Centennial Park District attractions and restaurants. Learn more here.
WE ARE NOW OPENING THE CANDLER HOTEL + BY GEORGE
Candler Building, originally designed by Coca-Cola magnate Asa Griggs Candler in 1906, now houses a boutique hotel with 265 rooms. With Chef Hugh Acheson spearheading the kitchen, By George serves cuisine that is primarily influenced by traditional French cooking. The lovingly restored property will dazzle you when you step inside.
