Atlanta's Arts & Entertainment announces a grant program
The Downtown Atlanta Arts & Entertainment Project (AE Atlanta) is an economic development and neighborhood activation initiative. Funding is provided for cultural and public space programming in the city's core through the program, which incorporates new outdoor media, local art, and advertising. Light, vitality, and activity exemplify the vibrancy of Atlanta.
AEA will be launching a grant program for City of Atlanta artists and / or arts organizations who are working on projects in downtown Atlanta. The grant amounts will range from $500 to $10,000.
Applicants must apply by Friday, August 14, 2020 at 9:00am Eastern Standard Time
5:00pm Eastern Standard Time, Friday, September 11, 2020
First grant recipients will be selected by October 31, 2020 for general operations and/or projects occurring before May 3, 2021.
Grant Guidelines:
In order to receive funding, organizations and artists must show a commitment to Downtown Atlanta's arts & culture community.
The application process for project-based funding is open to artists.
A project-based or general operations grant can be applied for by organizations.
Grant recipients must carry out projects in Downtown Atlanta, with a strong preference for projects located within the Arts & Entertainment Atlanta district (see map below). Upon selection, grantees will need to provide a letter confirming location from a property manager or partnering organization.
Funds which are allocated for general operations must be allocated to organizations in or committed to the district. (see district map)
A&E logo must be included on the sponsor page of an artist or organization's website, as well as in any collateral associated with grant awards.
